IMMORTELLE BEST SKIN EVER — THE EVERLASTING SKIN SOOTHER

The benevolent beauty-balm Immortelle Best Skin Ever is a sublime substance formulated to soothe sensitivities and infuse skin with an everlasting dewy renewal. More than a moisturizer, more than a cleanser, it is a replenishing biological restoration that renders a multi-step, synthetic routine obsolete. While its legacy of "everlasting" radiance is revealed in its oil-cleansing finesse, the elegant emollience extends to the entire landscape of your skin.

Whether you are calming the "reactive heat" of a blemish or seeking to resolve the lingering appearance of spots and scars, this bottle is your sanctuary from the synthetic spin-cycle: the perpetual loop of stripping the skin's acid mantle with harsh surfactants only to "fix" the resulting dryness with petroleum-based occlusives that suffocate the microbiome. Instead, Immortelle Best Skin Ever provides a resilient, breathable barrier that catalyzes renewal and sutures the skin’s lipid barrier while restoring luminous clarity.

Essential to this elixir is wholesome Jojoba, which offers the skin a biological homecoming. As a liquid plant wax synonymous with human sebum, Jojoba mimics endogenous lipids that absorb seamlessly to "unplug" pores and dissolve oxidized debris while preserving the skin’s native microbial integrity. Within this lipid-rich sanctuary, an affinity of essences acts as activators in the formula: Immortelle’s erasing italidiones for textural smoothing, Raspberry’s high-tenacity sterols for dynamic lipid defense, and the time-tested tonic of Frankincense. This botanical collective quiets the "reactive noise" of the skin for renewed complexion perfection.

THE SCIENCE OF THE SEAL: WHY WASH WITH OIL

To recover the integrity of the epidermis, the first step is halting the spin-cycle of synthetic surfactants. Foaming cleansers are engineered to strip the skin, and in doing so, they devastate the protective hydro-lipid barrier—the delicate seal of moisture and beneficial bacteria that comprises the skin’s innate immunity. When this seal is microscopically breached, the skin becomes vulnerable to pathogens and environmental toxins, leading to a state of dermal dysbiosis manifested as melasma, inflammation, infection, chronic dryness, and reactive redness. To restore biological balance, we return to a botanical confluence: washing with soothing lipids that activate the principle of "like dissolves like," effectively lifting debris while replenishing the tissue with bioactive molecules.

"I was stuck in the Sephora orbit for years. Now, I wake up looking forward to washing my face." — Ally

Modern skincare routines often suppress the beauty of our symbiotic, microbe-skin system. Daily scrubbing with chemical surfactants creates a "leaky skin" effect analogous to a leaky gut. These harsh agents do more than remove surface oils; they dissolve the skin’s native ceramides and essential enzymes. This sudden depletion sends a stress signal to the sebaceous glands that overcompensate by producing an excess of unbalanced oil. Furthermore, surfactants can insert themselves into the stratum corneum like microscopic splinters—even after rinsing, chemical residue remains lodged in the tissue. This initiates a constant degradation of the skin’s "first responders," essentially leaving the front door of the dermal immune system wide open.

Our skin is in perpetual bacterial bloom, a living landscape alive with the beauty of beneficial microbes essential to the functioning of healthy tissue. This cutaneous microbiome is in constant conversation with the immune, digestive, and hormonal systems. Common labels of "dry," "oily," or "combination" skin are not permanent types, but rather symptoms of bacterial disharmony. Acne, rosacea, melasma and blackheads are often manifestations of a compromised biome. Bypassing the perpetual loop of surfactant distress nourishes the skin’s innate biological buffer, allowing the microbiome to flourish. Seal the skin and reveal your Best Skin Ever.

SEAL + REVEAL: THE BEST SKIN EVER PROTOCOLS

If you are pivoting from a multi-step skincare routine or starting your first "Skin Reset," the method is three easy steps.

1. Prime: A small portion of a face cloth (or organic cotton round) with water.
2. Cleanse: Apply 1–2 squirts of your favorite Best Skin Ever to the dampened portion of the cloth. Massage over the face and neck. The oil binds with debris while the cloth provides a "perfect polish" exfoliation.
3. Seal: Rinsing is optional. If your skin needs more moisture, massage another squirt of BSE or a Libations Serum or Crème to further seal moisture in.

Extra Exfoliation Tip: For a deeper polish, add a pinch of baking soda, Rosemary Reset, or Perfect Pearl Powder to your oil massage. This creates a mineral-rich paste that buffs away dead cells while the lipids protect the new skin underneath.
Excellent as a Makeup Remover: Best Skin Ever is the ideal for removing all makeup—even mascara. Simply apply a squirt of oil to a damp cotton round to sweep away eye and face makeup before proceeding to the full cloth cleanse.

"For the first time in years, I feel confident leaving the house without foundation makeup. My skin tone is finally even, and the melasma I thought was permanent is visibly fading." — Sara

BEST SKIN EVER BODY OIL CLEANSE
Best Skin Ever formulas sanction silky skin from head to toe, including knees and elbows. After a bath or shower, leave the body wet to damp as a little water facilitates quick emulsification. Apply a few squirts of any Best Skin Ever onto palms or a damp washcloth and glide over the entire body; as water and oil join, it provides a light exfoliation and total super-saturation. For an extra cleansing polish, add a pinch of baking soda, extra-fine sea salt, or clay to the oiled cloth. Rinse, then with wet hands, apply a final layer of Best Skin Ever and you will glow all over.

Our Best Skin Evers are soothing solutions that serve the skin in so many ways:

Stretch Marks + Scars: For pregnant mothers, daily application of Best Skin Ever (especially Seabuckthorn or Rose) to the belly, hips and breasts is legendary for preventing stretch marks. By maintaining the skin’s elasticity and lipid depth, the Best Skin Ever seal allows the belly to expand and retract with grace.

New Born Baby Skin: Beautiful for baby massage, cradle cap, and diaper rashes as Best Skin Ever soothes the delicate, emerging microbiome of infants, as nature intended.

Man Maintenance: For men, an appealing and simple way to care for the face and body, along with the added bonus of a soothing and effective aftershave and beard oil. Frankincense, Sandalwood, and Seabuckthorn are the best-selling Best Skin Evers for men.

Wholesome for Hair: Apply a single drop of Best Skin Ever to wet palms and run them through the ends of damp hair to seal the cuticle and prevent frizz. Apply as a soothing scalp oil to reset the bacterial balance and address dandruff at the root.

After Sun: While Everybody Loves the Sunshine is our dedicated sun-harmonizer, Best Skin Ever formulas do double duty as silky after-sun care. The chemistry of these oils—rich in anti-inflammatory pigments and carotenoids—acts as a biological quencher for oxidative stress. Applying Best Skin Ever post-sun helps maintain your base tan by deeply saturating the tissue, preventing the peeling phase of dehydration.

Massage: For professional bodywork, home massage, or intentional Face Yoga, Best Skin Ever provides the perfect slip while delivering therapeutic botanicals transdermally. It is the premier glide for Gua Sha and facial massage, allowing tools to slide effortlessly while the "like dissolves like" chemistry works deep into the pores. Bringing your own Best Skin Ever to a professional session ensures that the oils being massaged into your bloodstream are of the highest molecular integrity.

TLC Skin Spot Treatments: For areas requiring focused attention, such as dry patches, minor irritations, or blemishes, use Best Skin Ever as a concentrated spot treatment. The "like dissolves like" chemistry helps clear debris from pores while providing the specific lipids needed to restore the biological buffer in distressed areas.

THE DANA OMARI BEST SKIN EVER RESET
In her esthetic philosophy, Dana Omari, founder of Noy Skincare, champions the Best Skin Ever Reset as the clearest path to dermal homeostasis, recommending a total "Stop and Reset" to restore the skin’s native brilliance. Dana recognized Best Skin Ever to be the “genuine game-changer” that restores innate integrity by balancing the biome without shifting pH or compromising the delicate acid mantle. This method has helped provide rejuvenating results for thousands of women, allowing them to simplify their routines and resolve “stubborn" skin issues by revealing their skin's natural potential with Best Skin Ever.

The Reset Protocol: For 7 to 10 days, remove all synthetic surfactants, SPFs, and makeup. Only use the Best Skin Ever to cleanse and moisturize. This allows the cutaneous microbiome to harmonize without the distraction of reactives that may be further inflammatory. To avoid any possible irritation from laundry detergents found on towels, use only organic cotton rounds during the reset.

"Dana’s reset was a genuine game-changer. I stopped the 'war' on my face, and my cystic acne cleared up within the first week. My skin finally feels like it’s at peace." — Melissa R.

ALL ORGANIC INGREDIENTS

Jojoba Oil - Simmondsia chinensis
Glorious, golden Jojoba quenches and conditions the skin with a molecular structure that mirrors human sebum. Differing from all other plant lipids, Jojoba oil is a liquid plant wax composed of long-chain linear esters, making it the most skin-congruent lipid in the plant kingdom. It is rich in phenolic compounds, phospholipids, and all forms of vitamin E (tocopherols) that provide a structural, breathable barrier for the skin. Jojoba has an unparalleled ability to "unplug" pores by dissolving hardened, oxidized lipids, while its native ceramide content reinforces the skin’s moisture seal to soften the texture into perfect silk. Its high concentration of eicosenoic acid ensures it resists oxidation, acting as a stable, bio-available, breathable shield that integrates seamlessly with the dermal biome.

Raspberry Seed Extract — Rubus idaeus
This elegant emollient nourishes the skin with a sumptuous supercritical extraction that delivers twice the regenerative sterols and much higher amounts of ellagic acid than traditional cold-pressed oils. This lush lipid is rich in phospholipid stability and exceptionally high levels of free-form tocopherols (Vitamin E) for dynamic antioxidant defense. Ripe with pro-vitamin A, nature’s real retinol, this lipid catalyzes cellular renewal and sutures the skin’s moisture barrier while providing a seriously silky viscosity that satisfies the most sensitive skin.

Immortelle — Helichrysum italicum
Everlasting Immortelle is the "Sun of Gold" (from the Greek helios chrysos) and a cornerstone of medical aromatherapy. Wildcrafted on the rocky, sun-drenched cliffs of Corsica, this essence is an alchemical masterpiece of cellular-resurfacing. A coveted pillar of luxury skincare, Immortelle brims with unique italidiones. These singular beta-diketone molecules, found nowhere else in nature, are the phytochemical erasers that abate the appearance of scars, spots, melasma, and fine lines. Nectarous neryl acetate encourages surface integrity and tonal-clarity. Named 'Everlasting' because its blossoms retain their golden hue long after being picked, reflecting the enduring, dew-drenched vitality it restores to the skin.

Ylang Ylang — Cananga odorata
While the world sleeps, the "Flower of Flowers" exudes its exotic fragrance across tropical breezes. Ylang blossoms are steam-distilled, producing an exquisitely cheerful, floral fragrance that benefits the skin as a benevolent balancer. This essence softens the skin with a "sweet-ester elixir" of geranyl acetate, paired with the soothing sesquiterpenes of germacrene D and beta-caryophyllene. As a skilled seboregulator, Ylang balances oil production in all skin types, quieting overactive pores while balancing dryness. This essence blesses the cheeks with a smooth, velvety finish, inviting the skin's innate radiance to come out and play.

Frankincense - Boswellia carterii
A sacred sentinel of skin, Frankincense is the "Ancient Olibanum" of the desert. Extolled across millennia in ceremonies and the Egyptian pharmacopeia, our Frankincense is distilled via supercritical CO2 extraction to capture extra antioxidant molecules, specifically incensole and incensole acetate, that are often lost in standard steam distillation. These rare diterpenes function as dermal pacifiers, communicating directly with the skin’s receptors to relax the appearance of redness and soothe blemishes. Imbued with calming beta-caryophyllene and limonene, this resinous nectar also contains multifaceted monoterpenes, including alpha-pinene and alpha-thujene creating a molecular sealant for the appearance of scars, spots, and fine lines. This molecular mastery explains why Frankincense has been historically revered as the seminal skin salve through the centuries for "sealing" wounds and smoothing the skin’s textural memory.

Geranium — Pelargonium graveolens
The genius of Geranium is its multifaceted molecularity, granting its reputation as a classic "cicatrisant" and circulatory-spirit skilled at purifying pores and boosting the vitality of the visage. This botanical dermal-regulator firms and fortifies with a monoterpenol-rich profile of citronellol and geranyl formate. This refreshing phytochemistry brings a refined resilience to the emollience.

Palmarosa Oil - Cymbopogon martini
Pleasant Palmarosa is distilled from fragrant tropical grass, resulting in a formidable skin rejuvenator rich in geraniol and geranyl acetate. This monoterpenol-rich profile grants the oil a sophisticated hydro-lipidic intelligence, allowing it to act as a toning astringent that refines skin texture while maintaining a hydric balance. As a steadfast botanical "balancer," Palmarosa balances sebaceous secretions, supporting a supple, dewy equilibrium for both oily and dry complexions. Its generous geraniol content further provides the skin revitalization required to maintain a radiant tone and texture.

Lavender Oil - Lavandula angustifolia
Lovely Lavender is a gentle-yet-hearty skin tonic that restores and calms. Its chemistry is steeped in the soothing synergy of linalool and linalyl acetate, monoterpenols and esters known for their agile ability to relax redness and cool heat. Lavender acts as a molecular harmonizer, improving the appearance of scars, evening out skin tone, and equilibrating sebum production. It is an essential ingredient for shifting the skin from a state of stress to one of calm homeostasis.

Turmeric — Curcuma longa
A subterranean storehouse of botanical-wisdom, Turmeric is a lipophilic elixir of root-intelligence. Differing from the culinary powder, this supercritical CO2 extract is a concentrated distillation of the plant's oil-loving bioactive molecules, capturing key lipids and aromatic compounds that traditional extractions leave behind. Seated at the center of its chemistry are turmerones (ar-turmerone, alpha, and beta) and soothing sesquiterpenes, (alpha-curcumene and zingiberene), which balance blemish-prone and wise skin. Research highlights how these molecules transcend surface-level soothing by harmonizing the skin's biological signals, specifically quieting the "molecular noise" of pathways like COX-2 and NF-κB that can lead to irritation and stagnation. As a complexion-calibrator, it is acclaimed for its ability to smooth the look of scars, melasma, and fine lines while fortifying the skin’s defense against dermatophytes.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: IMMORTELLE BEST SKIN EVER

Is Immortelle Best Skin Ever coconut-free?
Yes. This formulation is specifically designed for sensitive skin (like our Sandalwood BSE) and for those whose skin biomes are sensitive to coconut oil or simply love a varied lipid profile. There is a common skin mythology surrounding coconut and comedogenicity; yet, the metabolic factor lies in the lauric acid lipids. For the vast majority, lauric acid is a hero, an effective antimicrobial that clears imbalanced bacteria and supports the skin's defense. However, for a small percentage of people, this specific medium-chain fatty acid can be too "efficient," potentially disrupting the delicate balance of their skin’s natural oils and leading to a reactive flare. While coconut is a lovely lipid because it is a stable, saturated triglyceride that delivers a creamy, antimicrobial shield while encouraging collagen synthesis, at Living Libations we have an abundance of nourishing lipids to choose from. The Red Raspberry and Jojoba synergy in this formulation is a beloved duo of dermal-defense and dewy restoration.

What are natural forms of retinol and how does it work in this formula?
Our supercritical Red Raspberry Seed Extract is ripe with real retinol pro-vitamin A. Differing from synthetic retinoids that can cause skin sensitivities and peeling, this plant-based precursor is a gentle cellular-catalyst, encouraging skin vitality with effective ellagic acid and free-form tocopherols (Vitamin E). This provides the skin with the active benefits of traditional retinol, smoothing the look of fine lines and spots—without the inflammatory stress response of synthetic versions.

How does Immortelle help with "reactive" redness and old acne marks?
Immortelle (Helichrysum) is highly regarded in medical aromatherapy for its special skin-synergy phytochemistry, specifically italidiones and neryl acetate, that calm and seal skin and scars. As an essence of tonal-calibration, it helps fade the appearance of hyperpigmentation, melasma, and textural irregularities. Immortelles mending molecules ease and erase for everlasting glow and grace.
