SHAMPOO + BODYWASH DIRECTIONS

Shampooing: To cleanse your hair, massage a small amount of this luminous lather into a wet scalp, adding water as necessary to build up a rich, supple foam. Spend a few minutes using your fingertips to thoroughly scrub the scalp, clearing away buildup so that pores are completely free to respire and inspire hair growth. Keep in mind that shampoo is primarily for cleansing the scalp; the process of rinsing the lather down the length of your hair is more than sufficient to cleanse the strands. Follow with Calendula Comfort Conditioner for soft, shiny, and heavenly-scented hair. This gentle shampoo is perfectly safe and supportive for young ones’ hair, natural blondes, and color-treated tresses.

Hand Soap + Body Wash: As a body wash, Calendula Comfort serves as a lovely, multi-use staple for your countertop and shower. Pour a small amount into your palms for a sudsy wash, or dispense it generously under running water to watch it bloom into a clean, botanical bubble bath that is gentle enough even for a baby's tub. To extend your bottle and create a magnificent countertop hand soap, simply fill a foaming pump bottle with half Calendula Comfort and half distilled water, then shake gently to combine.

Color-Treated Hair: Our shampoos serve colored hair beautifully. Similar to healthy skin, healthy hair is naturally coated in protective sebum that keeps each strand elastic, smooth, and highly reflective. Synthetic hair products, even those marketed specifically for treated hair, strip away these vital oils, irritate the scalp, and leave behind an occlusive residue that stifles the skin, cuticle, and hair follicles. Harsh chemical surfactants cause hair color to fade fast, leaving strands dull and lifeless.

Pre-Color Prep: To prime your mane, create a pre-color ritual the day or night before you plan on applying color by treating your hair to an intensive moisture treatment. Use our super-hydrating Honey Myrtle Deep Conditioning Mask, or let our Calendula Comfort Conditioner seep into your strands overnight. This deeply primes the hair matrix and paves the way for luminous, long-lasting color, as plump, well-hydrated strands grab onto the pigment more effectively and hold onto their vibrant dimension much longer without fading.

(Please note: Our shampoo bottles may vary in appearance, amber or clear, with slightly different silhouettes. Rest assured, they all contain the exact same quantity of our small-batch botanical shampoo.)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I use Calendula Comfort if I have a sensitive scalp or skin conditions?
Absolutely. This formula is completely free from synthetic foaming agents, artificial fragrances, sulfates, and sulfides that typically irritate the skin. With a botanical base that includes herbal infusions with soothing Calendula, Jojoba, and Aloe Vera, it is a calming caress for sensitive scalps, dry skin, and is even gentle enough to be used as a tear-free baby bubble bath.

Why does this shampoo lather differently than commercial brands?
Most modern shampoos rely on harsh, chemical detergents like sodium lauryl sulfate to create a synthetic foam that aggressively strips your hair. Calendula Comfort creates a soft, pillowy lather whipped from whole-plant sugars and saponified coconut lipids. Because it is completely natural, it simply needs a little more water and a gentle physical massage to fully work up the lather. Once activated, it effectively lifts away debris and excess sebum while entirely preserving your hair's natural, protective oils.

Is this shampoo safe for color-treated or bleached hair?
Yes, it is an excellent option for colored, highlighted, and chemically treated hair. Because it contains zero harsh chemical surfactants, it will not fade your dimensional color or strip your strands. In fact, by restoring moisture via Jojoba ceramides and nutrient-dense seaweeds, it creates a smooth, highly reflective hair cuticle that actually makes your color look more vibrant and luminous.

How often should I wash my hair with this botanical formula?
Because our pure ingredients work with your scalp biome rather than stripping it, your sebaceous glands will naturally balance their oil production. Most people discover that they no longer experience the "rebound grease" caused by synthetic shampoos, allowing them to gracefully extend the time between washes to just once or twice a week.
