Carnations have traditionally been used by artists, writers, and poets to inspire creativity, increase motivation, and provide a veritable muse of euphoria. First cultivated in ancient Egypt over 2,000 years ago, carnations are one of the world's most popular flowers and were said to be the favorite flower of Jove, the Roman King of the Gods. Carnations represent love, purity, good fortune, graciousness, and gratitude.
Carnations are so sweet! They have even been designated as the official flower of Mother's Day! Yet the scent of cultivated carnations that flock floral shops does not compare to the brimming bliss of this absolute's rich-honeyed aromatic kiss.
Carnation oil is coveted for its deft desire-boosting qualities and enchanting scent. While it can be used to melt muscles in massage, most people enjoy our carnation absolute for its sultry aroma and creativity heightening effects. Use Carnation Absolute while writing, painting, playing music, and day dreaming. It can assist with deciding between two things, tapping into that loving feeling, brightening the mood of a room, and setting a romantic tone for the evening. Coronate your body and hair with Carnation Absolute, for an exotic, euphoric flair.
"The year growing ancient, not yet on summer's death, nor on the birth of trembling winter, the fairest flowers o'the season are our carnations and streaked gillyvors."
~ William Shakespeare
"[Carnation Absolute] is said to be ... uplifting, refreshing and invigorating, and may enhance creativity. The scent was used in ancient Greece to refresh the mind, and the Romantic poets such as Byron and Shelley reputedly enjoyed the euphoric effect of its fragrance."
